Our VFW Post 880 located on the corner of 24th Street and Ave K in Galveston (enter on Ave K side) is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
We welcome everyone to come into the Post for a meal or a drink.
Give us a try. We have the cheapest drinks in the city and delicious 1/3 lb burgers on Tuesday and Steak or Salmon dinners on Friday


We will host LULAC on Sunday May 17th for their Monthly Bingo Fundraiser for Scholarships.
Come out and Support LULAC and the VFW Post 880 starting at 2 PM. Come Early to enjoy some great food made by the Volunteers from LULAC

On Saturday May 23rd at 8:30 AM our VFW Post 880 with the help of our local Cub Scout Pack, Boy Scout Troop and West End Knights of Columbus will be putting out flags on Veterans Graves in The 2 Cemeteries behind Kroger on both sides of 59th Street and Ave T 1/2 (VFW Post 880 and Cub Scout Pack), Calvary Catholic Cemetery off of 65th Street (Knight of Columbus) and Old City Cemetery Between 40th and 43rd Streets and Broadway (Boy Scout Troop).
You are welcome to come out and help put out flags on Veterans Graves. Show up at one of the Cemeteries and tell someone there you are here to help. Or Contact Commander Dean at the Post before that Saturday and he will give you more information on how you can help.

On Saturday May 23rd Post 880 will open up the event at Jamaica Beach City Park on the corner of Jolly Rogers Rd and Bob Smith Dr with a procession of the American, Texas, MIA/POW, and Service flags to where they will be posted during the event after reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and playing Taps.
Come out watch The Veterans of VFW Post 880 Present the Colors and enjoy the afternoon and evening at the Jamaica Beach Event.

Sunday May 24th 11 AM Join VFW Post 880 and The Galveston Golf Cart Society for a Memorial Day Ceremony and Remembering our Brother and Sister Veterans who have left this world before us.
Followed by a Parade with the Galveston Golf Cart Society in their decorated golf carts.
After the Parade there will be BBQ served at the Post.
Come out and ride in the parade if you are a Veteran. Take part in the ceremony and enjoy some Great in house BBQ

Famous Hamburger Night
Full 1/3 lb Angus burgers cooked over a flame charbroiler. Best burgers in town.
Available Hamburgers, Cheese burgers, Bacon Cheese burgers chicken sandwiches (spicy or regular), hot dogs, jumbo dogs, nachos, French fries, tater tots and onion rings. Add chili or cheese to anything!

Queen of Hearts drawing every Tuesday at 7:30 PM

On Tuesday night while you are waiting for you burgers and the Queen of Hearts Drawing we have FREE BINGO. You get a bingo card for every Queen of Hearts ticket purchase. Prizes are FREE Drink Chips

Steak Night. 1 lb Ribeye, T-Bone or Salmon with baked or sweet potato, salad and dessert, price varies depending on steak prices.
Currently Salmon blackened in a cast iron skillet (used only for Salmon) with butter and seasoning only $17.50.
T-Bones $20.50 and Ribeyes between $24.50 and $28.50.
Steaks average 1 lb or more and cooked over a flame charbroiler with our special seasoning.
Customers have told us we have the best Salmon and Steaks in the county. Come and try one for yourself.
Texas Hold'em Style Poker Tournament every Monday & Thursday Nights. Come out and play a few hand with your friends.
Games start at 6:30 pm and run till 11 PM or later. Register before 6:15 and receive extra chips!
Texas Hold-em cash game every Saturday night at 6 PM.
The kitchen is open serving most of the items on burger night plus some specials each night.
